Legislative Priorities

In 2005, in order to establish a more unified vision for South Carolina's many diverse conservation organizations, Conservation Voters Education Fund began hosting the Conservation Common Agenda process - better known as the Common Agenda. The Common Agenda brings together 26 statewide organizations, representing over 40,000 members, and uses a consensus-based approach to set shared legislative priorities for the coming Legislative Session.

The Common Agenda has resulted in greater collaboration among the conservation community. Common Agenda participants are more effective advocates for pro-conservation policies as a result of this planning and cooperation.
