Conservation Voters runs both education and advocacy programs at the State House to provide the information and encouragement elected leaders need to support pro-conservation policies.

Through a Common Agenda process, hosted by Conservation Voters Education Fund, the conservation community sets legislative priorities to promote during the coming General Session. Conservation Voters hosts annual legislative briefings and co-hosts annual Conservation Day as opportunities for elected leaders to learn more about the conservation community’s Common Agenda priorities.

Conservation Voters also hosts weekly Volunteer Lobby Teams. Volunteer Lobby Teams turn average voters into conservation advocates for a day. Volunteer Lobby Teams are the most direct way for citizens to participate in the decision making process. They also make a tremendous impact on legislators who are accustomed to seeing paid lobbyists rather than constituents in the State House. Conservation Voters also publishes the weekly Hotlist, which tracks all pressing conservation legislation and alerts legislators and the public, of good and bad legislation.
